The 2009 S3 is an upgraded version of the 2008 SLC-SL, so in effect, already is SL?! Sub-1,000g for a ultra-stiff, ultra-aero race-ready frame will take some improving - it's pretty much the perfect race bike. But knowing Cervelo, they'll have some tweaks in the pipeline in terms of materials, cable-routing etc.

Hi Pedro, yes I know what you mean, what I'm referring to is the fac that therea era some Rear wheel compatibility issues as well as the fact that the cables entering the frame right behind the headset seem to be a bit close to the latter one.
Those are statemants from owners-I guess there's some truth behind it, so I thought maybe there's a 2010 model with some minor changes about those issues.
And I didn't know that's such a light frame like the SLC?
I have heard from a reliable source that Cervelo will make some changes to the S3 this year. The chain stays will be modified to accept more wheels. The cable routing will be tweaked a bit and the paint will be just like the TDF special editions but black and white. Dont think there is a sl version slated yet. FYI....the S3 I weighed vs. the SLC I weighed had the SLC lighter by over 140 grams! And yes they were the same size frame.
Just imagine forking out top dollar to get an S3 with numerous wheel incompatibilities just to find out 12 months or so later that a corrected version has confirmed the mistaken design element...Ha!
"Light bike? Its still about the engine!".
