In the process of a possible new build and sorting through options... Campagnolo SRM is the way I am leaning now.. but with the new 4 bolt system they introduced.. is it even possible for SRM to integrate since there are now 8 chainring bolts??? I assume anyone wanting to use a Campy SRM will still use the current 5 bolt?? Anyone heard any rumors??? I just hope Campy continues making 5 bolt rings!!

As for Brim Brothers, I can say I was not selected to be a public tester.

@ParisCarbon - I can't see why SRM or P2M couldn't make a 4 bolt spider for Campagnolo. Both of them offer MTB spiders with 120/80 BCD which are similar with separate bolts for big/small rings eg:

I have the Pioneer working on my TT bike. Will testride tomorrow.
Even turning the pedals by hand shows the vectors.
What is the best way to set the total Watt interval on the display 3sec?

I will weight the whole system when I chance the chainrings. It is now calibrated and torqued to specs and don`t want to mess that up and I have a identical crankset without power to see the difference but I think tha it is a little bit more than the 66 grams advertised.

SRM:
Unfortunately, PC8 sales have been postponed due to production delays.
We are working diligently to have the next generation PowerControl with GPS available to our customers and will share the revised date as soon as possible.

Hopefully the PC#8 isn't on the same design cycle as WKO4+.........

If...and only if, SRM can roll out exactly what they promised then it will be better than the current Garmin offerings.
However, what is frustrating is promised highly optimistic development timelines by companies that just leave everyone disappointed when they are missed and not just by a little bit but months and using the case of WKO4+ probably by more than a year

Not on topic really, but in case of WKO4+, it should be obvious that online solutions on a subscription fee basis are given priority development since the actual problem of piracy is significantly reduced. Therefore, I wouldn't wonder if WKO4+ actually didn't come out ever.

Brim Brothers are launching in September at Eurobike apparently.

mrlobber (sorry for OT too)

Subscription systems might be good for the company but for consumers it's insanely bad.

WKO3+ has served me well for the last 3 years, and will do so for another 20 to 40 more (assuming the best). There's no chance I (and probably many more like me) would move to a web based version monthly payment system.

What happens when/if bad times, retirement etc come and there's no money for the bike? At least I can train and study my rides because I own the software I purchased.

On a subscription system, as soon as I stop/cannot afford to pay their monthly fee, I loose access to years of MY historical data and the ability to continue as I have been doing.

No thanks.
