Ritterview, I think erty65 was thinking about the money put into the bike setup.

Do you know if it will be BB386 compatible? if it is - and if the price still is right this will likely be my next powermeter

Power2Max, the makers of the versatile and relatively cheap crank spider-based power meter, are set to introduce the Power2Max Type-S.

It's a more aero version of their current power meter and is available to pre-order from October 2013 and expected to ship in February 2014: http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/arti ... ate-38187/

Power2Max Type-S features
---Weight (claimed): 169g (110 BCD) to 188g (130 BCD)
---Slot-in battery compartment and external status LED
---Crankset models available: Cannondale SL, SiSL and SiSL2; Specialized S-Works; SRAM S900 and Force 2014; Shimano 4-bolt 110mm BCD for third-party cranks; Rotor 3D Plus, FSA K-Force Light
---Compatibility: Most BB386EVO frames, all aero chainrings, ANT+ head units
---Reports left-right balance

Hi guys,

we hope you like the addition to our line-up. Let me know any further questions you may have.

Best

Hi Tillquist,

the USB port is for service. We haven't planned for field firmware updates.

Best

Do you have any data on how the Type S deals with temperature fluctuations?

Will they all be green or will this be an option at the time of ordering?

Dear Danza,

I have been riding a prototype unit for a good while in temperatures from 3 degrees to 40 degrees (joys of riding in Spain). It is very temperature stable. Of course we have our active temperature compensation on top of that.

We will offer different colors, like on the other model. Mine is stealth black at the moment :-).

Best
Nicolas
