New powermeter rumours
Moderator: robbosmans
Ive gone through quite a few powermeters and have to say I agree with the above. Since purchasing my Powertap Ive had bearing and broken spoke issues in a relative short usage span. Crank based power meters is the way to go in my book.

The pre-G3 powertap hubs had poor DS flange spacing, making a less laterally stiff wheel. For some people (like me) that results in broken spokes.
I've replaced a few bearings in my old SL hub but considering how much I used it I don't consider that excessive.

Broken spokes on a powertap supplied wheelset= powertap problem....
Its not the bearings that are my concern with the hubs. Its the torque tubes. At least on the pre G3 versions. I'm on number 4

Following on from my last post;
Nicholas (jever98)- i'm looking at p2m on a rotor chainset, and have a few questions, thanks?
Am I right in thinking the 3DF - is 30mm axle only? And to what extent- is it like a 386evo length?
And for the 3D- Would I need a rotor bb to fit to 68mm English shell? I would like to change between 3 bikes that are currently running HT2 bb's. If I have to replace all 3, it starts getting expensive
Thanks in advance

@jekyl man:
Yup, the 3DF has a 30mm spindle and the longer axle associated with a BB386EVO. If you want to install your power2max on BB386EVO you need to check compatibility. The outer diameter of the bottom bracket bore mustn't exceed 53mm on a power2max Classic and 57mm on Type S.
And yes, you can install the 3D in a Shimano bottom bracket without problems.
Cheers

Many thanks Nicolas
I just wasn't sure, as the rotor website isn't great, and saw a bit of conflicting advice around the tinterweb...
