I did hear a rumour that they had 3 new bits of hardware coming. The first was the Climb, no idea what the other 2 will be. PM does make sense as you pointed out already having the knowhow. Pedal does make sense based off their pretty versatile range, most of it works with anything else. Every bike has pedal threads.

The ELEMNT is due for a replacement next year, so that’s one. Power meter must be the other. The only other possibility I could think of is a smart stationary bike a la the new Wattbike Atom or Tacx concept, but I doubt it.

Stationary bike could be possible, maybe rollers, or something like the Tax magnum. A Wahoo pwoermeter would be really interesting, I've enjoyed every product of theirs I've used. It would be cool if they could come up with an option that didn't require proprietary cleats and could be used w/ any pedal style (time, speedplay) but now I'm just being really hopeful.

The Wattbike Atom does indeed look intriguing.
But I just got a note from Wattbike that the timeline to deliver the Atom model is unknown.
Best guess is ready for intl. delivery end of next year.
Guess those mentions in Cyclist magazine and elsewhere were jumping the gun a bit...

As an edit, I just noticed that the Wattbike Atom is planned to only come with 170mm cranks.
I am not sure about you guys and gals, but I have ridden 175mm forever and recreating my position on 170mm cranks is always a compromise. In an age when flip/flop crank insert designs are available to allow customers to set their crank length, having a fixed 170mm length seems like a complete fail, especially at this price point. I wrote to Wattbike and pointed this out. Everything about the Atom design seems great for long indoor sessions, except a really critical contact point, the cranks... :noidea:

LOL that's a good one. Looked interesting for a minute but then when you add Look cranks, axle and chain rings it's 2800euro. But SRM without their head unit isn't the whole package so it's another 750 euro. Yeah a good one!!

The SRM Campagnolo is what I would need and is not on sale.

As per the Power2Max website, the Power2Max App is currently only available for Android. The iOS version is coming in 2018.

Pretty expensive update scenario, €50,- for each update.

50 € is for each feature upgrade of NGeco (L/R balance estimate, smoothness, torque, perhaps Bluetooth for the FSA Powerbox variant), isn't it? Ordinary firmware updates aren't charged AFAIK.
