I like this frame, Colnago has finally started to get the weight down on the c50. The only noticeable change is that the headtube is a little taller than it was on the c40's. Ride quality is great. And durability has never been an issue with Colnago carbon frames.

Madcow is right - the headtube is 7mm taller than a 40 - and Colnago CF frames are built to last. I can't believe how much crap my C40 has been through and it still looks beautiful.

Can you not get your position right on a 585? :(

Been meaning to ask you how the fit of the c50 and the 585 compares

ie are you using same stem length, number of spacers etc?

Hi bud -

The fit is very close. Same stem length (120mm) on a 53.5cm TT (the Nags) and a 53cm (585). Near enough perfect seatpost length on both.

Post build there are a couple of spacers on the 585 I will happily have taken off (I like to be as low at the front as poss) but otherwise it's perfect. Beautiful ride on it today - and probably first race tomorrow.

Very impressed with the Arione on the 585 too.
