Here are some photos of the disassembly of a Tune 160 carbon axle hub.
1. the split tool I have made to encircle the left side spacer
2. the tool mounted onto the hub spacer.
3. The bearing puller jaws are pulling on the back side of the tool and pressing on a spacer tube that surrounds the Aluminum insert in the end of the axle - it pushes onto the carbon
4. the spacer is removed
5. the axle is pushed through
6. the axle is pushed through the cassette body bearings
7. For comparison, here is a Tune 200 Aluminum axled hub - I did not bother to push the axle through the cassette body to fully disassemble, but it really is quite similar to the 160 hub.

Sorry guys, the photos are in the reverse order from the list above. I am new to this forum, so please excuse. I am sure you can work it out!

Hi!

I have just bought a Tune toolset for hubs. However, it has the instructions only in German.

Would someone be willing to translate them to English if i write the whole instruction in German here on the forum ? I myself would need that very much, but maybe others would be interested too ?

Cheers,
Niko.

....be careful there are a few errors in the Tune manuals.

Very helpful information. After exhausting my vocabulary of curses putting hybrid ceramic bearings in my Soul Kozak rear hubs I was considering the carbon Tunes, but reading all this I have changed my mind. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was.

I've got the tune w-mag informations in english. I've wrote an article about how to disassemble a tune hub.
It will be online tonight or tomorrow, I'll add a link to the "how to disassemble it" pdf.

Please wait a few hours :)

Something was wrong with my hub, a bearing stayed stuck on the axle. I won' make the article online now.

You can find the url of the pdf here though:
