SIDI T-1 is very light as well, about 500 gr. depending on size.
There is a T-1 carbon as well, looks nice but I don't know if they are lighter.

It seems that some of the new DMT shoes are quit light. Actually the carbon soles look a lot like the one on my Nike Poggio II.

There website www.diamantdmt.com. But I'll warn you it is a little bit loud.

Aren't Lust and Rocket 77s the same company?

no, LUST Racing and Rocket 7 are two different manufacturers.

LUST is a one-man (Bart) show in Colorado. He probably only produces 50 or so pairs a year. I race with Bart all the time....one strong boy!

Rocket 7 is MUCH, MUCH larger and becoming more main stream.

Not that being small or large is good or bad.

So what do you know about Rocket7s? Have you heard something bad about them? I have a pair on order.

I’ve heard only good things about the Rocket 7s’. How did the purchase go? How much did you pay for them? How much do they weigh? Inquiring minds want to know!

I've got a pair of R7s in a size 45, the stock model, and they weigh 440 grams for the pair...quality shoes...can't wait to race with them

I know someone with custom Rocket R7's....loves them. They wouldn't even think of using anything else.

Lightest shoes otherwise? Well lust, but they're custom too (i think) and more expensive than rocket I believe. Check out the nike poggio, dmt's, and maybe the really thin-carbon-soled northwave.

Actually DMT make Nike shoes, certainly the top shelf stuff. Nike Lances are RSX Ultimax with different finish and color, but identical sole, plastic and lasts. Every carbon sole Nike I've seen has an identical DMT brother. It makes sense, since Nike doesn't make most of its products, just labels and markets them.

cheers.

btw, DMT RSX Ultimax are among the lightest shoes available.

My custom made Rocket7s will cost $559 plus postage. I live in the UK, so they're sending me some moulds first. Apparently I have to get someone to help me get the moulding right - then I send the moulds back. I can choose whatever colours I want. The shoes weigh only 180 grams. Look Keo cleats will add a little more - plus a gram or two for LeWedges. More info at
