NEW! '09 EE Brakes!
Moderator: robbosmans
Although I have no affiliation with the maker of these brakes, I've taken the effort to get a pair soon. Can't wait to try 'em! This is what the EE Cycle Works website says:
The eebrake is the ultimate brake from start to finish-- a unique and innovative design developed and refined by relentless engineering, both at the computer and through real-life testing.... all executed with attention to every detail, USA made precision and use of only the highest quality materials.
To me they look like real gems of engineering and I'm a hard-to-please costumer...

These calipers need more cowbell.

The spring is horrible - should have used a leaf spring like Mavic SSC and buried it in the middle of all the Meccano
There are four links, but with 3 of them being bell cranks its hard to see immediately how the mechanical advantage changes as they move - let's hope they considered the possibility of rim widths other than 20mm now that HED have shown the way with their C2 based rims

I wonder if they were smart enough to significantly reduce the force produced by the rear brake. It seems like most brands except Campy forget that a rear brake made just like the front will be prone to easy rear wheel lockup.
