Lol, at 195lbs, I don't think I'll be rocking one of those anytime soon

It's a pity the design doesn't provide much support for the rails, carbon and tubular ti rails might not last as long :(

I have seen campy record carbon seatposts fail (two of them), but it was caused by a stress riser generated by not using the offset clamp. I always install carbon posts with the clamp rotated 180 degrees. If not possible I ream the inside of the frame with a flex hone, then clean it with acetone to remove any grease residue and I scuff the unexposed part of the post with a 3M pad. Doing those things and greasing the binder bolt allow me to torque the bolt to a minimum, without risk of the post moving.

In your picture, has the screw on the left been shortened?

No, It would impossible or hart to assemble seat or adjust seat angle.

I removed my first seat post tube fom mold on morning today. It weights 74g/280mm. It's taper wall on lenght and rotational dimensions.

It's just for sample post and I'm getting better materials for it in next week.

Since ti mtb version is 143g/330mm, this road 280mm version should be easilly under 90g. (calculated to be 75g but I'm not sayin that, yet.) First one will be 95-98g for start.
