Topcap is standard stuff but the expander is a very slick design a lot more effective than the other units at that weight

I'm pretty sure that EE expander was hiding in plain sight (had it not been for the top cap)! :D

I've had no issues with my extradite expander ug over the last two and a half years. It's great!! I've moved it from bike to bike a few times. Still as functional...and light as new ;)

I've not had dramas with the star 1 and 2 expanders from extralite but the star 3 units I've had a high fail rate with.. Just a step to far IMO

I'm guessing the EE one will work fantastically, but also be hella $$$

The EE expander would be a good upgrade option over my old v1 extralite expander.

Cannondale expander still looks like one of the best designs out there. It offers solid support to the steerer tube and I've seen it measured at as low as 12 grams for the whole thing.

The Extralite has been the best for a long time.

I'm happy with my Extralight as well. Saved myself a bit over 50g from the stock version (including bolt and topcap) and I'm happy with how it works (just need to take care with the torque on the topcap).

I bought the ee cap/expander about a month ago and I've been using it - easy install and holds well.

Im going to try a EE expander on the next build. But have been using the ultrastar 2 for a couple of years now. Set and forget. Also using a ultrastar 3 for a few months with no issues.
