I hope you guys can help me.I have a campagnolo braze-on campy record
front derailleur. The new frameset that I have just bought does not have any braze-on on the frame and need to use only clamp-on front derailleur.
Is there anyway I can just buy a just the clamp??It seems that campy does not have it?Does shimano offer one?Or is there any other manufacture that
offer just the clamp?Let me know.....thanks.

Campagnolo should have it. I have bought at least two clamps from them. If you download their spareparts catalogues from www.campagnolo.com I am sure that you will find it. Anyway the Smolik band is much better looking. You can get it at www.bike-components.de

Is there really anybody who can get themself to install this part. To me it looks like something my grandmother has made as handicraft in the retirementhome.

Where within the original question, does it state
"must win a beauty prize!"
"must cost less that $xx!"

I assumed he was a weight weenie and not a judge in a beauty contest.

That is the lightest option available (that I know of anyway).

thanks guys.I can put up a shimano dura ace clamp cheaply here but the LBS
asked me if I'm after a 9speed or 10speed clamp????Is there any difference>>At the moment I running 10speed campy around and I wanted a
campy clamp but my LBS told me that campy do not supply clamp only.
Can I just used the '9 speed derailuer clamp' for a 10speed derailuer??

A braze on adaptor "clamp" does two things -
clamps to the frame
provides a braze on contact point

The differences between 9 speed and 10 speed shimano versions are likely to be weight and price. They both have to do the same thing. Provide a braze on contact point for the mech.
