All of the new models should be out by mid-late may. Out of the 3 new models, however the zero plus may be the one that takes the longest as demand seems to be really high on the Vaypor+ and Riot. I've got a sample of the Zero+ and it's quite nice, though I can't find anything wrong with my Zero's... lace's and all.

i wouldn't get the CTT, i may be wrong, but i think it's a very old version, with the bathtub sides of the carbon too tall, and less comfortable according to people who used them.

I would wait for the riot. hope the price is as good as anounced.

The vaypor is based on the CTT and the CTT sides are somewhat taller, correct.

ok..I think I'm closer to making the purchase now. seeing that my size is still available Excel and EBAY, I got some choices. There's an A1 on EBAY at the moment which is right at my exact size length wise @ 247mm but I think this won't work when the cold weather come in and I'd have to wear my thicker wool socks. Too bad, it's what I really wanted colour wise (All Black)

I have these choices now:
CTT one - White or Red/Black
CTT three - White/Red or Black/Red

I heard even the regular width Bonts compare to Sidi Megas so I have lots of choices at this point. I have 120mm width which calls for a WIDE according to an old Bont size chart. I forced my poor feet into some regular Sidis before so I'm confident I'll be able to mould these buggers easily...unless someone will suggest me to get the WIDE version.

If you can't try them on in store first and you must buy online, I recommend you go up one size over your exact length (you may even need to go up a full size), and go wide if you have wide feet. I own a pair of Sidis as well, and I noticed you can loosen up the straps and the leather will give you more space, but the sole of the Bont is intended to cradle your foot. Take a look at the picture below and think to yourself whether you would enjoy sliding into a pair of regs when you are a wide!

That said, once again, I highly recommend you try these on in store first if you can. They don't fit like any other shoe I've ever worn -- Sidi, Lake, Louis Garneau (not that that's a bad thing, just different).

As a Bont wearer I totally agree with that idea. They fit VERY DIFFERENTLY than other cycling shoes in that there really isn't the possibility for some "spill over" so to speak for your foot or toes if you get the wrong size or width. The Bont sizing wizard is pretty useful if you can have a friend help accurately measure your feet.

I have found that most people that really dislike Bont's and their fit is usually due to incorrect sizing or issues stemming from not adjusting your saddle correctly *lowering it enough* compared to other shoes. They are almost like someone going from traditional running shoes to minimalist one's in that the minimalist fit very differently and take a bit of playing with to understand how they are supposed to fit

*the point above about fit is purely from experience/what other former/current Bont wearer's have said, not dropping your saddle height enough seems to be an issue for a fair number of people*

I took the plunge. I bought the Vaypor Premiums in WIDE. $255 CAD from EvansCycles.

I consulted the sizing wizard and my clearance was exactly 3mm. I went half size more than my recommended size which gives me 7mm of clearance.

BTW, that sizing wizard recommended that I get customs and no way I could afford it at the moment. The Bont rep told me through email that I'm out of the Bont scale even on the wide versions(I'm +20mm width wise), but I thought if I can squeeze my foot in some Sidis then the Bonts should be better.

I'm stoked. Hopefully the customs authorities don't catch my shipment because there's an 18% duty on footwear here :( (+ GST and brokerage fees...OUCH!)

PS
I actually also scored a pair of Shimano R315s. I just laughed when I looked at them. They're regular fits and there's no way my feet won't bleed after a century. I'm going to sell these bad boys. Too bad, I got them for cheap.

What's your measurement length and width?

My feet are 260mmx 100mm exactly, and I wear a size 41. It's snug enough that it takes effort to pull my foot out even if i'm not ratcheted down. It doesn't feel tight at all though, I feel like I still have some room on the sides maybe. My guess is you would fit well in a 41 or 41.5 wide.

I have 2 pair of Bonts now: A1s and A2s I *think* they're 41 and 42 respectively, but don't remember. One is certainly more snug than the other, but both work. I just remeasured at 257*mm long and 113mm wide at the widest part of my foot.

Neither of my shoes are the wide model and work for me. (I got the 'contact us for full custom shoes' note on the website)

I didn't see a 41.5. Not sure why not. Seems that pretty much every other size has a half size...

M

*last time I measured, I came up with 256mm which means 41. 257mm kicks me up to the 42 size. I can't seem to find their mm size chart to see how much bigger 42s are than 41s. Grrr
