Maybe I'll take Nils' advice and glue them on. Damn I miss his insight. :?

I have used them for a couple of weeks now.
They are made from a very light, kind of rubbery carbon(ish) weave. Comfort seems ok. Edges a bit rough on my two pairs (no edge seam on mine like in some pics).
Seems Bernhard has refined the design a bit now.
Downside: they tear easily, take care when mounting!
Great service when I tore my first pair though :) /a2

I never got a response when I tried contacting Bernhard with an email. :noidea: Maybe he's tired of giving away replacements.

No no Andy. You've been a good influence and extremely helpful :beerchug:

Anyone had any recent experience with BTP Hoods - ie have the design/durability issues been addressed over the past couple of years or are they just as bad now?

I've been using mine around a year (SRAM Red). They work great and are comfortable -- no tears. They are a lot more fragile than regular hoods, so take care when installing them.

This place usually has them in stock. Plus they respond to emails fairly quickly. http://www.dulight.fr/. As for the hoods, I had some on my Campy SR11 and Record 10 group sets. Although they are surely lighter I found them to be way too flimsy and tear very easily. I spend a lot of time on the hoods and do not feel the weight saved is worth the comfort lost.

I'm curious as to how they're made if they're flexy enough to be put on as hoods...
