Weight Weenies

The bike is finished for now, its an onoging project. Brent gave me a THM fork to use until he makes an uberlight fork. I will post components and weights soon. All components have been used and tested, some for years and years over many bad roads here. I am 140 lbs, I ride relaxed, alert and with finesse, at least I try. I rode the bike a couple of times and was really impressed by how great it rode. To be on a 600 gram frame, total bike weight of 8.48 lbs. and yet feel how stiff and stable it is was very impressive. It just really felt good underneath me. It fits me perfect and I am very happy with the way it looks. The low BB height helps with high speed decents, and no problems on decents with my light wheels. Having owned many road bikes during the past 37 years, including other custom frames, as well as three Kleins, including a Boron reinforced, "Team Super", I think that I have some sense of what constitutes a good frame and the way it rides. This is the best frame I have ever rode. It is so enjoyable to ride such an efficient and light bike. I really thank Brent for the fantastic job he did, and for his great customer service. I will say more later and where it can be seen.

I am trying to get some pictures up but need to figure out how to do that, hopefully I will get this soon.

Do you have the pictures stored somewhere online? If you do, just find the page right click on the picture and choose 'Copy image location' and then just press Ctrl+V in between each set of image tags for each picture.

How low is your low BB? I love them low and always wonder why more people don't go that route.

Yeah...

But probably only 5-10% of the cycling population really has the physiology to excel at crits and if you aren't going to place why screw up the bike geometry for it?

TT bikes are even more puzzling since they have even higher BBs (which makes the squirrely handling even worse) and I have never seen anyone ride a crit on one of those.

does it matter if they don't have the physiology to excel at crits? catching a pedal in a turn sucks no matter who you are. people race crits because they are fun, challenging, and kick your ass, not everyone races to win.
