Until recently, i never even heard of a Walser......

But is the point that the black bike has been rebadged as the Giant? If so, why is the top tube round on the Giant and "bar-like" on the Walser?
Please explain....

Yah that is a rebadged Walser - just a different design.

Which is faster? who knows. Ill bet it depends on the conditions too

The FD cable goes into the down tube.
It wouldn't be hard to locate the actual frame model.

Jan uses Walser Model 5,70mm version. That is for 130mm rear hub and standard cranks. 50mm version has special cranks and 110mm special rear disk.

That model in small picture is Model3. Look seatpost. That's different.

None of those models have the cable going into the down tube.

It's obviously a Walser, maybe its a new or custom model.

Why would Jan want the cable through the down tube?

downtube is just probably easier to do the cable routing - the toptube is narrow enough?

I've had two frames that use the top tube for cabling, both required the use of cabling outer.

Aero drag perhaps?
