btw. someonte told that its crap. i'm using the seat post clamp
from b-t-p, and it works fine (the construction is simular...)

of course it does work but it also does look crappy, especially if you belong to those having an eye on price-performance ratio. should sp-/ fd-clamps at 75€/89€ really look like something chewed and spat onto ones seatpost? even unidirectional fibre material can be arranged in a less scamped looking way ;)

any bloody backyard dabbler could have done it better and it would have taken not more than, say, 15€ (by wich i'm talking of retail prices) and a few hours in your garage...

Obviously, that product doesn't quite have the "appeal" to those who are interested in asthetics of products.

Out of curiousity, what would a Record derailleur clamp weigh?

Surely B-T-P would have had the equipment to produce a more visually attractive piece?
