Have seen the new Ritchey WCS stem at Ricthey web site and on the ww listings.

I have been trying to get hold of a 73 degree one. So far have only found stores stocking the 84 deg stem.
Can anyone advise of a online bike store to order from that stocks the 73 deg stem?

I was looking for one too and www.excelsports.com carries them. I email Ritchey and they responded the 2004 -73 is not made of the new lighter alloy, it is made of the older alloy, which is a great stem but heavier, and they have no plans of making the -17 out of the never alloy. They didn't specify why not although I guess their concern might be breakage since the -17 allows a lower position and more weight on the stem or the fact is while I prefer a -17, I don't think it's very popular, I guess they don't sell many of them, while that angle used to be the standard. Don't be put off by the weight, you could always tune it with titanium bolts, it's a very stiff, creak free stem. Mine weighs in at 155 grams verses their claimed 125. It is a 110 mm.

It must be for looks only. Why not get the much lighter 84 degree stem and lose the inch of spacer and steerer you've got now. Your bars would probably be the same height as before.
