 Post subject: Marchisio Wheels
PostPosted: Fri Jul 09, 2004 7:12 am
I am looking into some new wheels, and would like to know what people think of Marchisio Wheels.

As they are a pretty small company, I am wondering wether to opt for these over something like Mavic. However, my main question is of people's experience or thoughts of Marchisio.

16/20, good spoke count.

Mavic have excellent hubs and are releasing some better rims.

What weight are they?
What quality are the hubs?

I've heard the spokes are too thin, causing reliability problems.

If you want a smaller Italian companies products, why not look at FRM, Spada or WR Compositi? All make excellent products.

Is WR Compositi still around? Every time I try their website (last 6 months) or so, it does not work for me....

Strange, though.
It's the only website of the 100's I have that does not work: it opens to WR, then says "Leggo in Italiano" and "Read in English": either link I click, it then says "goodbye".
What's the link you are using?

I had to turn off the Google Popup Blocker to look at it, as it is a pop-up. The stuff looks nice, but they only make hubs, and not wheels.
