Stronglight Pulsion - Catastrophic Failure
Moderator: robbosmans
Isn't this just lovely... about 20 pedal strokes into the sprint this morning (53x12), full-on... my right pedal ripped right out. No warning, no creaking, no sign of anything, and just POP, and my right foot came out... I dropped to the top tube to narrowly avoid crashing and bringing several others down with me.
Oh, and now I realize one more pic I have to shoot... when the crank went around, it gouged the crap out of my right chainstay... my CR1 may be toast due to the Pulsion failure.

Been seeing a lot of Pulsion pics like this lately. Makes me want to get a solid steel crank. I'm sorry for your loss Rich.

Mmm I think i'll be sticking with my 9 sp Dura Ace for the time being, old, heavy but ever so reliable.

Same thing happened to mine, but I managed to keep the bike upright.

My cranks should be in France by now, don't know when I will get the new ones, but I've been promised.

I'd rip the S... off my bike and then throw it at him... I haven't got the balls to drive something I've seen so many threads about...
