I think that is better than an alloy one. I had one in my Al. frame, and it simply corroded to it. Although i greased it it was a b*tch to get out! using pliers and a hammer i finally managed to do it!

Pick the plastic shim

This is for your CR1, right?

If so I think you need a 31.6mm post/shim.

I would use the USE acetal shim. Don't use an aluminum one.

ÚSE's aluminium ones are for small diameter change shims. They are not made in 31.6/27.2mm size. I use plastiqueones in all my titanium frames.

Wouldn't go for shims at all. There is enought choise in 31.6 to make a good choice. The new carbon deda (xl4 ??) in 30 cm. with setback is 160 gramms uncut and can be tuned to 145 gramms with a titanium bold. If you need a longer post the new 2004 campa record isn't a bad choice (I use it in my Scott) uncut 195 gramms.

Deda's weight ar far from the actual weight. I would rather go for Tune or Extralite
