Where do you guys suggest buying Tufo tubulars in the US? They seem to be the tire of choice here, right?

Try veloflex, they are lighter and give better grip. Tufo are great tyres for training and in rainy conditions.

Tufos are the best way to go-very light weight and excellent durability.

i would say tufo are great, they have excellent grip, and seem to wear well. they should last long. unless you get the elite jet, which is the higher end light tire.

I use ONLY Tufo tires now. I am so pleased with the range of selection and performance that there is no need for me to use another brand.

I've used several different Tufo models. For spirited training/racing over roads that require the best compromise between light weight and durability, I recommend the Elite Road (23mm). The S3 Lite 215g (21mm) is also a good choice, and is a little more on the 'racy' side (I'm using those presently).

I agree completely with TedB-Elite roads are an excellent choice. Make sure to use the Tufo tape-it's a pleasure!

Tufo are really good tyres but most pro's I know are going for dugast or veloflex

especially the Time trial tyres are probably the best one could buy! Last year I did almost 700 miles in dry conditions on a pair of 180 gr tyres which isn't too bad.

I normally train of veloflex black for chlinchers which in combination with latex inner tyres almost drive like tubulars.

I am also thinking about buying veloflex clinchers for my 'nice wetter' trainingswheel. And buying a record 28" tubular for my corima disk.

Get them from www.sdeals.com. There in the UK, but are much cheaper.
