I have made a stem, for my road bike.... 8)
Some data: -16° L=110mm stem for OS handelbar weight 107gram (only stem) and 125gram incl. 6 / M5x16 stanless steel bolt.
The stem will also be use on my MTB bike....
Stem will be black anodized..

Yes, but I will use titaniums bolts for the stem..... alu bolts a not that stronge.

Don't no about stiffness yet.... but i think it's very stiff.

Great looking stem! I have always liked the looks of the few polished alu stems that are out there. I would leave it like it is if the color works ok with the bike its going on.
Alu bolts on a stem......I think not. Only on the steerer clamp if at all. I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone here that uses alu on the face plate!
well.. alu bolts works, depending on the quality of alu you use ofcourse.

That's what i was just thinking. Alu isn't strong enough to be used for stem bolts. Use titanium instead.

First of all, Nice work!!! Definately a piece of art! It'd be interesting to see how it holds up. I'm by no means an expert but it looks a little thin in the clamp area around the front of the handle bar. Hope it works out for you! If it does we might be begging you to reproduce it

The clamp will hold, there is 3mm of alloy...
