Here's a response from Scott to an email I sent, for all of you waiting on info re: Scott CR-1 availability in the US. The photo on the email I received has silver decals with yellow outline....

The Australian price was:
$9000 Full Team Issue
$3300 Team Frame
$5200 Full Pro
Sounds like you guys are getting a bargain.
Where are they made?

Someone in this forum said that he knew someone who could get them directly from factory but without label...maybe if we are a group of possible buyers we can get this deal? I would hessitate to get a team issue frame for 1200 - 1300 eur.
How does that compare to the price of other frames (e.g the Giant TCR)?
Brian

well i got my giant for under 1100 shipped, and some can do better than that. but i see them on ebay all the time. so its a big price differene.
what i would like to know, is how much stiffer than my giant tcr is the scott cr1 team frame
i have heard 30% but does anyone have numbers?

I just found a shop in aussie that has a 56 scott cr-i frame for $US 1800
delivered to Colorado.
Guess what I think I will get.
Do they have a rider weight limit on this frame I'm 185lb currently - about 15 over my ideal race weight

1800 usd. is a good price (but you got to add the fork I think). Gives you the opportunity to add the much lighter Look HS5 or Easton EC90 SLX fork that both fit the scott quite good.
Storck guarantees the frame up to 200 lbs but in my experience the frame suffers a lot more with a light wheelset with too much flex. My weith at the moment is 170 and it rides great with my lightweight or Eurus wheelset. The only item I had too remove was my Schmolke 180 gr bar since it gave the bike a too harsh feeling (replaced it for a Deda 215 anatomic and the ride improved a lot)

did they give you numbers on BB stiffness? or lateral stiffness on the overall bike?

Just the frame STW 91.2

Just the frame STW 91.2
this is what i have for the storck 0.9c:
The BB stiffness of the first C0.9 was 89Nm/° and the lateral stiffness was 68Nm/°. The weight of this frame was 970g so the STW lateral is 70.1 the BB STW is 91.75 so the total STW is 80.93
so i would say that the STW on the Scott is much greater than the storck. but i will look for the stiffness numbers on the scott.
and is that the pro or team frame
