Now I'm looking at the new Ritchey WCS Protocals, 1350g for the set. Ritchey is really comming out with some good lightweight stuff this year.

Clinchers and light isnt that a contra dictum?
Get a pair of 700x20 C on your Ksyriums and yu gain 10-40 gr per wheel depending on which clincher u chose. Maybe a Pro light Michelin ...weight is 170 gr.

why dont you wait a bit, to see what mavic has under their skirts. the new carbone light seems like it could be a winner.

i think the spada stilletto is under 1400 grams
440g rear alex rim
400g front alex rim
184g rear spada stella hub
65g front spada hub
280g 56 spokes (5 grams each)
total 1369 grams

i think those alex rims are a winner.

this rims looks pretty good to me, and its 10grams lighter than the ksyrium sl rim. the front rim is 400 grams.

The rear hub is AM classic, but it might change because AM Classic is producing a new hub from a new manufacturer this year.

actually, the rear hub shell is a tom ritchey design, and differs from ac. the internals of the hub however, are ac. the hub is produced under license to ritchey by ac.

I was in your position seriously considering buying a lighter set of wheels to replace my Eurus for racing. But after much deliberation have decided not to spend a fortune and instead buy a nice pair of Veloflex Record Kevlar's complete with ultra light inner tubes. Will save quite a bit of rolling weight for very little money 8)

Mark is building me some 28/32 Wheels with his straight pull max-light hubs with Ambrosio Excellight rims and Sapim Race spokes for the city, and I'm going to run the Spada Route Carbonio Aero Tubs outside the city. Back to 12.7lbs with the light wheels!
