Stronglight Pulsion...bit of a structural failure!

On the way to race this afternoon, put the power down away from some traffic lights and BOOM...bits of chainset all over the road.
Everything torqued up properly and no damage. One tab breaking would be bad but for three to go...I'm speechless (and also lost a Tune chainring bolt whilst trying to get chainring on in a state where I could hobble home...rats).

Makes me glad I went with the Vulcans. Let us know how/if stronglight takes care of the problem.

lovely... those new record cranks can't come out fast enough...
were you getting any funky creaking before they failed?

Is it possible the Tune chainring bolts allow some play? Or are they the exact same size at the pulsion bolts?
Sorry you had a problem but glad you were not hurt.

Hope you're ok.
Check the right chainstay to. It looks like there is a gouge in it.

Tune bolts were an exact fit and, as said, torqued properly.
Had no indication that it was going to break either, ie creaking or movement, it just literally exploded! I was fine...was a bit of a hassle limping back home though.
I imagine one tab failed then the others failed as the chainring twisted and moved. Its going in the post to France tomorrow...
Oh and the marks on the chainstay is in thick protective plastic which I've stuck there... it's the old mountainbiker in me that causes old habits to die hard

my pulsions are thin around that area as well. Should I send them to Stronglight? I didnt buy them new.
Maybe I should beef up the area with a little extra carbon and some epoxy?
