You mean the new Cannondale Lefty road edition? :)

Yes

The crash didn't look that bad on TV, did he get his fork tangled up in something to cause it to break like that?

Doesnt take that much. turn your bars 90 deg and get up on it like a half endo. I had a crash like that a few years back, snapped both legs off a kestral EMS at the mid point. Potato chip'd the front wheel as well.

I don't know it was difficult to see. It did look pretty nasty how one rider slammed his bike right into Cipos legs and some other guy trying to jump over his bike. From what it looked like Cipos team mate caused the crash when he looked back over his shoulder and didn't keep a straight line in the middle of a chaotic lead out sprint.

This definitely doesn't look like a good place to go down.

10 stitches on his leg, with the cut apparently through muscle to the bone, luckily no fractures, and 4 stitches on the elbow.
He apparently is going to try to go tomorrow.

Wow, that Look fork is only available in Europe :( I haven't seen anything on it elsewhere. Must be Pro only.

It looks like you can buy the HSC4SL individually (not packaged with frame as OmegaCycleworks.com requires) at another UK store:
http://www.rainbowinternet.net/shops/cyclingbargains/catalogue/category6/product948

Better yet, it is available on ebay from a seller DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS for all the US buyers:
