I switched from Selle San Marco Era to Fizik Arione. I like it, it fits, it's comfortable for me: I like the long rails and the back section.

I think the best course is for you to find a store that will allow you to test all three, or compare to your current favorate saddle the one that is closest in shape.

It interested to know the difference of comfort and duration.
You could say something to me? I have seen www.epinions.com but I
have a lot of doubts...

What do you have doubts about?
I have heard something about the Fizik cover not being being as durable, but my Arione is not old enough to notice any problems yet, and I'm not sure how valid that criticism is anyway. I had a Fizik Pave' for years, it was always perfect....Fizik is well designed, been around a long time.

"Duration": So as far as the quality I think Fizik is very high.
"Comfort": Impossible to tell you. I find the Arione very comfortable.
As Ye Olde says, you have to try saddles, for your body and style of riding, there is no other way to determine what you like, even within the same maker.
I tested quite a few before I went with the Selle San Marco, and then the Fizik Arione. Don't trust epinions, etc. go testing and trust yourself.

Best saddle I have ever used. Most comfortable, most versatile, and looks sweet! Plus my saddle's longer then everyone else's saddle. 8)

I actully got the Gobi, Arione's big sister it weighs 10-20 grams more but its looks much bigger than Arione. If you have large ass or a mtber get the Gobi. Ill post pic sometime this week...

I think you will be very happy with an Arione. I already have 2 of them and will complete the picture by having one on my 3rd bike. Best saddle I've ever used and can assure you I've tried nearly all of them.

how does the Arione compare to a Tune speedneedle? im looking for a new saddle

Compare in what way?
The tune is way lighter, I have not ridden both, I love the Arione, the tune scares me.
If you google there a lots of online reviews of the Arione.
Here are the claims:

ARIONE:
• 'Wing flex' for free thigh movement and increased pedalling power (more clearance for leg stretching)
• Increased contact surface area: 12% more than standard saddles for better pressure distribution
• Wider nose for increased comfort toward the front of the saddle
• Extended saddle length (30 cm) provides more riding positions
• Over 85 mm rail adjustability: longest in its category
• Carbon reinforced shell: stiff yet flexible, no saddle sag
• lightweight (230 gr) (248 g / +7,83%)

SPEEDNEEDLE:
• The Flite, the Concor Carbon/Light and the Vetta Carbon were the state of the art of light weight saddles until now: The "SpeedNeedle” carbon saddle distributed by tune beats them all.
• saddle with just 109 grams (2003: 97 g / 98.6 g / +1,65%)
• "SpeedNeedle” designed and built by Jürgen Mikus
• as comfortable as the Flite but at much lower weight
• leather seat cover for more comfort – for centuries or long distance rides
• essential for every serious bike races

What about considering Selle San Marco saddles?
I've found them very confortable (personal opinion...) and way much durable than Selle Italia saddles...

Everyone I know who owns Fizik saddles is very happy about their durability... (and also about confort).

If you have confort issues, try looking for "triathlon" saddles (made by San Marco and Selle Italia): they're softer, and they also allow to shift forward to change position during ride (Arione allows also to shift backwards, depending on your bike setup).

Bye, Benz.

comfort vs. weight i know the tune is light, and i think the arione is a little on the heavy side. i was going to switch from my selle italia slr because i wanted more comfort, and was thinking of the speedneedle marathon. how much more comfortable would the arione be?

I have seen the three models of fizik( Aliante. Arione and Gobi) and i think that Arione is the best saddleback for me.
I have read the technical characteristics of Gobi but i have read that the declared weightis different in the truth !
What do you think about this?

Arione:
SHELL: CARBON REINFORCED
RAILS: TITANIUM
PADDING: OPEN CELLED HIGH DENSITY
COVER: MICROTEX
WEIGHT: 230 GRAMS
COLOR: TWO-TONED BLACK

Gobi:
SHELL: CARBON REINFORCED
RAILS: TITANIUM
PADDING: OPEN CELLED HIGH DENSITY
COVER: MICROTEX
WEIGHT: 230 GRAMS
COLOR: TWO-TONED BLACK

Look on this same website under LISTINGS for claimed/real weights of many saddles, including the ones you are interested in:
