In Racecae Engineering magazine V14N2 (Feb 04) (no link on site found) the is a story on the ZeroShift cluchless gearbox system.

Originally starting as a way to make a shaft-drive bike Bill Martin came up with a way to shift under load without a break in power transmission. It is currently being tested in TVR Cerbera's and some other cars.

Let hope this make it back to bikes (and is light).
