If they aren't cleared use a heat gun... or your wifes hair dryer.

Acetone or Goo Gone with a cloth. Post pics when your done. Why do you want to remove the decals???? The new Ghisallo/Litespeed badging is sweet.

Hardcore WW :D The build will lighten the wallet as well  Have fun with it. What size frame? That frame looks sweet w/ WCS fork. Someone on here has a source to get them without the Ritchey decals. VERY STEALTH and when cut should come under 300 grams.

NO WAY!! The Ritchey fork is TOOOOOOOO Heavy for this type of build. Ordered a THM Scalpula SP tuned from Mdacow and a few other very extra light carbon goodies. The fork should be 240-220 grams cut. The frame is a medium and weighs in at 772 grams!!! (this is completley stripped--no bb cable guide or bolt, no shifter adjusters, no FD clamp or bolts, no seatpost clamp or bolt, no RD removable dropout hanger.

with the RD dropout hanger it weighs in at 780 grams

replacing:

bb guide to carbon and no bolt--just a dab of tire glue (2 grams)
shifter adjusters will be BTP carbon ??? grams
FD clamp will be BTP carbon (special made) ???grams
seatpost clamp already have --BTP carbon 8 grams

I've done many times on my Litespeed's. Use PURE acetone and a cloth. Dab it on the decal, let it work or penetrate for about 30 seconds and start rubbing slowly. when you think your done, get a clean section of the towel, more acetone or citrus cleaner and wipe one last time. Good luck

When I worked there I weighed a sheet of decals before they were put on the frame and they were only 10 grams and that included the paper that they were on. So stripping the frame will only save you about 4 to 5 grams total but if you want to remove them acetone and a rag and they will wipe right off.

Use your finger nails to scrape them off then use WD-40 to remove the glue. Works like a champ and doesn't smell as bad as acetone.

thanks everone--Ihave no fingernails and not even a hair dryer so I chose the acetone route and it was pretty fast (5-10minutes) and no mess. The frame is now 4 grams less--that is what matters :)

thanks again :D
