Question for those who have a recent Canyon Aeroad with the Reynolds Strike disc wheels: are those swirly graphics stickered above the rim surface or are they applied and then clear coated over?

I figured that when I get my bike, I'd remove the swirls and keep only the Strike name, but I suppose that's only doable if not cleared over...

I'm almost postitive it's all painted on. Not stickers, but not under the clearcoat either.

So basically non removable (unless one is to resort to making this some sort of life mission)?

I'll check when I get home, but I'm afraid so.

It's painted on the exterior of the carbon, doesn't appear to be covered in clear. You can def feel the edges of the lettering and swirls, but no getting a fingernail under them. I imagine sand paper is the only way you're getting that stuff off.

Makes me wonder why that difference between OEM Canyon and aftermarket version of this wheelset and whether there are any other differences?
