I have DA9050 shifters and derailleurs on my tandem with a first gen XTR digital display in place of the A-junction. Can the secret button on top of the right hood be made to turn on the display so I can see what gear I'm in? Just like pushing the button on the display but without having to take a hand off the bar.

116 views and no answers, yeah I figured this was an obscure question. Not a lot of people running road shifter through the MTB gear display. I'll ask Shimano and post the andwer here.
