Hello

I just saw the post of the Giant showbike, and the bike had some very interesting parts on it.

Do anyone know if the Tune Skyline cable housing is availiable? (Or is it just the old, discontinued "plastic" housings?)

The carbon "cap" on the crankarms are also new to me, but it look very similar to the Schmolke top-cap, does anyone know if it is Schmolke that makes them??

Thanks in advance!

I'm currently trying to investigate this.
From my current knowledge I'd say it's something new.

The weight on the bike for these seem impressive, but look closely and you will notice that the cables have been cut far to short to be usable at all. Would be good if Florian could get us a weight per meter info.

Yes, the housing bend on the rear derailleur is pretty big, but that might be a indicator that it's not the old Tune housings. (They are not known to be very flexible)

I guess we have to wait for the results of Florians research.

I wrote an email to tune yesterday evening, because I didn't want to bother them on the phone since they are very busy at the moment, but so far no reply. :(

Now I think I will give them a phone call tomorrow morning.

tune got back to me:
the housings on the bike are remainders of the old plastic stuff.
