Hiya,

Have a BB30 from (Volagi Liscio) and have just ordered a FSA Powerbox crank. I’ve also ordered the spacers from FSA to take up the extra spindle length but was wondering if there is a better solution ?

It seems that the Praxis and Wheel Mfg screw together versions can’t do what I need and the Torq Tite ones can but are almost A$300 locally !!!

FSA do one but it is just overlapping sleeves and not what I’m really after.

Are there any alternatives ?

Thanks

Looks like CBear does one but it's probably expensive also.

My understanding is that the PF30 ones are no good as my frame is BB30 (PF30 being 46mm OD vs 42mm for BB30)

Is that correct ?

I’ll look at the CBear ones. Kogel are pricey too !!

Yes. I looked at Rotor and they are PF30 only.

Thanks to those that have replied. A fair bit more googling and chasing, I have found the following ;

C-Bear : do a BB-BB30-386-R (ceramic bearings) for RRP of Euro 129, but haven't found a supplier yet
HSC - No options
Praxis Works - No Options
Wheels Mfg - No Options
Tri peak - do a Steel bearing (BB30-386-PKSBTF12) for A$178 delivered & a Ceramic (BB30-386-PKCBTF12) for A$225 delivered via eBay
Wishbone - do a Ceramic (BB30386) for A$178 delivered via eBay
FSA - Spacers for ~ $10
Token - Spacers for ~ $10
F1 Ceramics - No Options
Torq Tite (Enduro Bearings) - Euro250 + tools + shipping from Bike 24

There are some other press together (vs Screw together) versions, but if I go for an adaptor, it will be threaded.

Looks like Wishbone is the best option so far.

Any others I have missed ?

Thanks

Michael

Just email C-Bear directly, Paypal & they'll send you one out.

Kohler is USD $199 + shipping, and looked up the B.B.Infinite is out of stock of the one I need, and list price is US $205.

I’ll try emailing C-Bear and see what they say. Would their price include the 19% VAT ?

Thanks

no personal experience with C-Bear but in general any EU vendor who does business outside the EU will have the ability to strip off the VAT when exporting.

Some of the candidates are press-in. And since cost is a consideration, you need to consider the additional tools that may be required for them.

I thought most C Bear were press-in, they appear to be. Also BBinfinite I think.

I'd prefer screwed-together for ease of installation and removal. Which currently looks like Kogel and Wishbone.
