No question. I was going to try 9100 dura-ace till I heard their shifting mechanism sucks. No multiple up/down means no dice.

Lots of people say this (or similar) but the reality is that you just don't get the gear ratios required this way. And Campag don't make any cassettes large enough to get a reasonable range with 1x in any case.

Clear indication the Movement will be a PM.
Sounds right indeed!

Thanks for the feedback!
And back to square one.....
My wish: a WiFi EPS so that I can have a good reason to switch my mechanical to EPS [emoji12]

No news yet, I think. Time to make bets. A new groupset with a motor and another BB standard?

should be a new BB standard

Campagnolo will be moving to direct mount derailleurs in the future so i have heard and that means the possibility of larger cassette cogs and better 1x compatability. For me a 32T rear cog which is possible on current 2018 med cage RD's is more than enough for 1x. I get around on a 52T ring with a 11-21T cassette or a 12-27T. Did the strada bianca on the latter although I really needed a 12-32T. Also with 1x and a short cage rd a 32T cog is compatible for many bikes.
movement could be anything from electric drivetrain, to a watch to Campagnolo train. Remember Campagnolo used to make car wheels, NASA kit and other stuff. We simply have no idea.

I think the auto-shifting mention was added to cover any future systems - the actual device looks to be an electric clutch for the cage to take up slack on poorly timed changes (something that will happen more often is auto shifting was a thing).
The lever patent mentions more sprockets and one-by - and a more sensitive ratchet to deal with it. Other recent patents are electronic b-screw adjustments on the fly, how to fit a 12-speed cassette on an 11 speed freehub and a new narrower chain.
So looks like 12 speed and new EPS at some point.
