Swear to god those tiny toebox velcro straps do absolutely nothing other than mess up the aesthetics of shoes.
Other observations:
- The dials obviously. Are they Boa or not?
- The burrito wrap tongue. I've had problems with these personally, but most people seem to get along fine with them.
- Stiffness Index of 15 on the Specialized scale...previous max was 13.
- The upper around looks really thin compared to last gen/

+1 I own S-works shoes and I have no idea what the purpose of those velcro straps.

I’ve never adjusted the front Velcro strap on any shoes I have owned.

The Velcro strap helps secure the toe box. I notice the difference

I’m thoroughly in the camp that keeps the toebox loose so my forefoot can splay. Midfoot and heel get cranked down to the edge of comfort and security though. Also with my Gaerne G.Stilo+ the bottom Boa dial is farther down so it helps secure a little bit more of the forefoot around the metatarsals.
