Have a set of specialized road cranks, after installing them on a new bike i noticed a jangling sound coming from the crank. Turns out half of the torx piece of the bolt had split off. Does anyone know of a way to remove and replace the T45 bolt in the crankset? I'm afraid warranty is probably way out of the question.

It's available as a spare, it's held captive by a 12mm Allen bolt in the drive side axle.

Thanks, seeing that now as part 9. When i look at the crank I see the 12mm hex but is certainly doesn't look like a separate piece from the spindle.

Thank you Slack, the 12mm cap comes off reverse threaded.
It came off very easily on my newer s-works arms and was loc-tite'd on my old non-sworks arms but came off with a bit of brute force.
