Hi all
2015 team machine lower headset bearing. Written on it is52x7x36
Went to my LBS with the bearing and he sold me one put it in a bag and I went on my way.
When I got home it says on it 52x7 45x45. It locks in to the head tube fine but is it actually the wrong one? The angle numbers suggest not, it's a highly reputable shop so I hope I haven't been blatantly sold the wrong bearing :noidea:

if the bearing is supposed to be 36 degrees and the new one is 45 degrees, they sold you the wrong one

examine the old one carefully, by eye you should be able to see the difference between 36 and 45 degrees

might be this one you need...

Hmmm i can't really see the difference by eye.

Weirdly, this has the same description but the diagram shows 45deg

Yep-I emailed them and it is the right one. Seems BMC use a specific brg.

There is little wonder bike shops are going out of business when they can't supply the correct part. They've just won an 'award' too for best bike shop. So I've wasted time, money and I've had to order it online in the end anyway. Slightly off topic I know, but had to rant!
