I don't replace shoes often, just buy quality and comfort. Have both sidi ergo and Graeme with two boa closure. Both great shoes, both needed inserts for arch support.

Had issues with the Sidi ergo/boa system with some failing parts etc which I have fixed but felt for the price, should never have happened. Have yet to have any issues with the Graeme shoes, love the fit and light weight and yes, they are white. Sidi does win out on shoe material used - Supple, lasts forever.

Side note, did try the Heat moldable Bonts, not a fan, more marketing than true performance gain
It only hurts if you think.

I'm very happy with the Sidi's but the Gearne look well made as well. I can easily get my hands on the slightly cheaper Gearnes, so I will give them a try next season.

I ran into another pair of Sidi Wire SP shoes, simply because the price-point was to good to resist. :)
Happy with my purchase and now getting the Speedplay Walkable cleats installed properly. Ergon TP1 cleat tool doesn't do its job anymore with the differences in cleat shape ...

Can I ask where the "too good to pass up deal" was?

Competitive Cyclist has them as low as $199 (you have to get some weird colors but...)

Bike24 had a sale: https://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=8; ... 54;page=29
SigmaSport had a sale as well: https://www.sigmasport.co.uk/item/Sidi/ ... Shoes/1F6D

I used a discount voucher and purchased with sigmasport. Good communication, since the delivery was slightly delayed.
Had my first training on the new shoes yesterday. :)

I've bought several pairs of Sidis from BikeChainCafe. Great pricing and fast delivery.

Bringing this back to add that these fit me so well I have added another pair. Can't believe I rode Gaerne for so long.

I love my speedplay specific white pair, and am happy to say that after 3 years, they are still white....not yellowing at all. My favorite feature is the ankle retention as I have skinny ankles.

Anyone tried wires and Bont Vaypor +? I love the Bonts and they support my high insoles very well. The only shoe out there that I would guess could be a challenger are the Sidis. Opinions?

Seriously though -- Why are Wires more expensive than their Mag 1 motorcycle boots? The only thing I could ever come up with is sales volume even though both markets are pretty small.

P.S. rode both their bicycle & motorcycle shoes/boots for years.
