Pros are typically much smaller men. But most typical bike sizes for men are 54 and 56. And bike companies usually advertise bike weight based on 54 or 56 frame size.Roentgun wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 2:05 pmMark Cavendish is on a 51cm Cervelo and rode a 49cm Venge w Quickstep I believe...queloque67 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 12:34 amSo sounds like it would be hard to get to UCI minimum with bike sizes most men ride.trikobe wrote:Weighed a complete build red/white 52 sworks disc wo pedals at the specialized shop and it came in at 14lbs 7oz
It depends on the countries.. ...for example the average US biker is certainly heavier than the average European biker. And the average German biker is taller than the average Italian biker....queloque67 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 2:46 pmPros are typically much smaller men. I'm not sure what the point of this discussion is... At this point, with most of the high end bikes from any company you can easily go below the UCI weight limit, no matter what size you're building, and without using any rare or specific weight weenie parts. I'm not sure why it was specified "sizes that most men ride." It seems like it was a dig at the poster saying he had a 52, which seems silly.Roentgun wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 2:05 pmMark Cavendish is on a 51cm Cervelo and rode a 49cm Venge w Quickstep I believe...queloque67 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 12:34 amSo sounds like it would be hard to get to UCI minimum with bike sizes most men ride.trikobe wrote:Weighed a complete build red/white 52 sworks disc wo pedals at the specialized shop and it came in at 14lbs 7oz

Where did you get the idea i'm digging at the poster. I wish I could ride a smaller bike. I would presume much smaller bikes would meet weight limit but vendors rarely advertise weight based on the smaller frames its usually based on 54 or 56 size frames. Work on your perceptive skills and try not to be combative and create drama that doesn't exist. It was an honest informative exchange between 2 people. smh geeshCrankAddictsRich wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 4:31 pmI'm not sure what the point of this discussion is... I'm on a 61 and wish I could be on a 56 or something, mainly for the aesthetics I find that the bigger bikes don't look as good, especially due to the longer head tube.
On another note, I am slightly worried about the delivery times for this bike. Eg, SigmaSports have an ETA of 17/09/2018 on it: https://www.sigmasports.com/item/Specia ... -Bike/INWA
Placed my order with a Concept Store, in hope that nudges me way up the line, but haven't heard back from them. yet.

Looks to me that the hologram outline frame posted above doesn't have any paint over the CF since you can see the layup near the head tube. Isn't that what makes an ultralight frame?
I'd say Spesh should have waited even longer to release the bike since they can't get their supplier shit straight with UL and non-UL frames, boxes, and paint schemes.

If I can convince myself to get the non Ultralight disc it would be the black-on-black.
I'm pretty disappointed with whats going on with their logistics with their bikes like the above poster mentioned. Mislabeling boxes, ultralight advertised on their website than removed.
I'm planning my next trip to the Alps and Tenerife, Spain so it would be nice to have the bike.
Doesn’t Specialized offer an in-line seat post for the tarmac? By the look of it, I would have thought it a better fit considering your saddle position.Aneestariq93 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 5:21 pm78C1EBF5-BFE9-46B3-8576-D067ACC3BF76.jpeg

Also, what made you choose the 5.6’s over the 3.4’s or 4.5’s? Just curious

The saddle hasn’t been adjusted correctly, all the fine adjustments will be made tomorrow in the final hand over fit.willmac wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 7:37 pmDoesn’t Specialized offer an in-line seat post for the tarmac? In regards to the 5.6, for me there isn’t much of a difference in weight between them, and having previously owned a canyon aeroad with Zipp 404s, I wanted something similar and they just look nicer imo.
This is my build.. Pretty much standard off the floor except with non-weenie power pro elaston saddle (just wanted to try it out).
Fitting done for my 170cm body with relatively short legs. One spacer under the 90mm stem for now..
Picking up tomorrow after some minor tweaks.
Will get the weight done before leaving thr shop.

My bet is the Ultralight Disc in 56cm will weigh 6.67kg / 14.7lbs without pedals
Looks like their 56cm was 6.69kg. 20g off, RIP.
