How to remove second bolt on Sram (Red) Chaingrings

Good evening,

I want / need to switch chainrings on my Red crankset but was wondering how I can remove that second bolt (opposite to the one behind the crank)? The chainring came with a tiny rubber or plastic plug that probably goes in there once it has been removed.. but what's the 'correct' way of removing it? Punch it out with a puncher.. or pull it out somehow..?

Drill it out. I forgot the bit size.

You also need a special hidden nut which isn't included with the new chainring. You could reuse the old one by pressing the old one out of the chainring.

Take pliers and yank them out (really, it even says so somewhere in the docs iirc). You can put one of the old bolts into the old hidden nut and knock it out with a hammer. Will pull itself in on tightening the screw on the new ring.

I used a locking vicegrip, voila!

Pliers and yanking the bolt out worked perfectly fine.. thanks everyone!
