It's interesting and perhaps for a dealer stocking framesets it makes for simpler inventory, but I don't see the benefit to the end user. All that extra hardware adds weight and complexity. And how many times have you heard of someone who has spent good money on a bike wanting to convert it to a different style of brakes? Yeah, me neither :-)

Don't mind the idea but it could have been executed a bit better, colour matched flush caps or something as opposed to stainless bolts.

Definitely a benefit for manufacturers / shops but yeah, how often do people change their brakes.
