I need your expert help. A friend of a friend is selling this and I would like to know if you think it is legit.
**The serial number is partly scratched out** What do you think??
Thank you.

can't see. How badly is the SN scratched out? Can you make out all the characters? If any are obscured that's a pretty dodgy sign

If it's a fake it's a good one. It looks pretty pukka to me and I'm a C60 owner.

If the serial number is scratched out can mean that it was been stolen.!

This looks very similar (frame set & photo back grounds) to this fellow WW's, which I recall seeing was for sale ?????

It looks genuine to me - fakes are reasonably easy to spot - but that rather obvious attempt to deface or obscure the serial number does deserve some sort of explanation.

What's that gunk in the opening below the serial number? Seems like there's some corrosion around the SN too?

Just looks like oil and grime to me. It's a carbon shell so can't see how it would corrode.

Frame looks genuine and I'm a C60 owner. If I was wanting to remove the serial number I'd just drill out the pop rivets and remove the serial number tag. Does look suspicious though.

It looks real to me. The scratched out serial number leads me to believe it may be stolen. Although it could have been scratched when set on concrete driveway to take one of those photographs. I would ask for the original sales receipt or warranty registration to validate authenticity.

Edit: I believe this is the frame that @Imaking20 was selling a few weeks back. Driveway/garage door looks the same as in the "Her New Blue Dress" thread.
