heard throught the grapevine new propel coming soon. read this post on another forum. anyone ww media know more ?

"The new Propel will be released before this years TdF. First bikes will be available in mid august, at least in Europe.

It's got new stems and aerobars, full integreation of all cable housings, and of course with disc or non discbrakes. Think of a Trek Madone, but with more edges and not as roundish. The design got an update too. The bikes a the Taipei Cycling Show had grafics similar to the liv Avow TT bikes."
Current Rides:

2023 Tarmac SL7 Di2 9270
ex 2019 S-works SL6
ex 2018 Trek Madone SLR Disc
ex 2016 Giant TCRAdvanced Sl
ex 2012 Trek Madone7

About time. Propel is old.

Wonder how they'll work the integration though. Trinity/Avow is not the worst, but definitely not the best either in that respect.

I bet they will go for direct mount brakes as at least in my area, the few people who ever bought a Propel were always and only complaining about the brakes.

The pro dealers have a look at the new stuff for 2018 this week. Anyone with a hookup here?

Found these on a japanese forum: https://tieba.baidu.com/p/5186238604

I guess there is no new frame for 2018?

There is for sure! The question is if is being released only as a disc brake version or as rim brake also (probably only on the Adv SL model?)

It make sense! Looks like the one in the pictures is a lower end Propel, like a non pro advanced 2/3 version. Hopefully the pro/SL will have the new frame.

Like Specialized did when they launched the VIAS!

Anyway, i wouldn't put my money on a rim brake version for 2018. My LBS was told that the disc brake version is 100% sure for 2018 but not so sure for the rim brake!

I'm surprised nothing has been leaked yet. Bike info is always so slow to come out/get talked about.

That stem looks dangerous. I smashed my chest into my stem in a crash a few weeks ago, that stem would have probably killed me!

It looks aggressive and robust. Perhaps the sprinters have had alot of inputs in the design!?
