Hi there. I have a Cervelo P2 with a “bc1.37 x 24” bottom bracket.

Is there any way to get a 30mm crankset through it?

Thanks in advance :)

You mean BSA?

If you get a BSA30 crank and BB, or a BSA 368 crank and BB it should fit. Forget trying to fit a normal BB30 crank in though.

To expand.

Your BB now is a English threaded one, also called BSA.

A "long" spindle BB30 crank will work with the correct threaded cups. You will then have a setup also known as BB386evo.

FSA, Rotor and others make these cranks but as the poster says a conventional BB30 crank will not fit.

Here is such a setup Image

I have a 2011 Cervelo S3, which is also has a BSA threaded bottom bracket, and I've been using a wheels mfg BSA30 bottom bracket and a Rotor 3D+ crank. I have over 10k miles on this setup and it's been solid, no reason to not use a 30mm spindle crank.

It's never going to be very durable because the bearings are quite small.

They sit outside the frame, so why they make them smaller?
