I have an etap set up that spends more time at the dealer than on the road. The chain continues to slip off the lower puley on the rear derailleur. It happens when riding on the small chainring, Bent hangar suspected, however has been discounted now. Any other thoughts?

Bent frame?

Is this a new RD on an existing frame that is known to have no issues, or a new bike/RD combo?

Check the bike's chainstay length and compare it to the recommended minimum length for eTap.

Did you ever resolve this? I have the exact same problem when shifting up at the rear to 39-13/12/11, or shifting down at the front from 53-13/12/11 into 39-13/12/11, and it's driving me insane. My chainstays are 410mm, and eTap requires 405mm, so I don't think that's the problem in my case.

etap may require 430mm .... depnds from chainset, frame OLD and crank type ( 130/135 OLD, BB30/PF30 vs "long spindle cranks" ). Look at chart linked above... maybe you just think it's 410 ?

430mm? I don't think there are too many road frames with chain stays that long these days.

But the limitation on chainstay length is listed under the 'front derailleur' section as cross chaining angle on the rings is the governing factor (hence why min length changes with the size of chainrings used). It shouldn't be a factor on the rear mech working properly. I'd be much more inclined to think that something is physically wrong with the derailleur cage and/or the chain is too long.
