Ok bit of a long shot but would anybody know if DA 9000 free hub body Y3DZ98060 will fit to earlier hubs? Its hard to see in the exploded hub diagrams that pop up if it has the same fitting as earlier Dura Ace freehubs. Ideally what I'd like to do is fit it to a Lightweight Gen1 that uses DA 7700 hub parts.

My educated guess is that a 9000 will not fit a 7700.
One reason for arriving at that conclusion is that I looked into mating a 7700 freehub to a 7801 hub. Not even close.
(You know, the one that only accepts 7800-series 10-sp cassettes!)
No doubt Shimano vastly improved and altered the 9000, compared to the 7800.

Ah ok, its just the exploded diagram looks similar, its too expensive a part to buy just in case it may fit!

The 9000 freehub doesn't even fit on 7900 hubs.
