Looks like an interesting frame. When will the official release happen?

That would be sweet. If the R5 is staying as an all rounder, I'd prefer an updated more aero R3 or R2 as a cheaper frame to race and do events on.

Pretty lacklustre copy and paste review from BR. As usual, Rossiter tends to phone it in on anything bar a Bianchi.

That s5-type cable routing  Things can be done so super clean (SS, SLR01, SL5,...).

Never will understand that cable routing style... It is hideous.

Not impressed, just bought last years R5 and the response to pedal input is what sold me unbelievable. This update doesn't change much. Agree cable routing stinks. Out of all the bikes released the BMC looks the best love the lack of cable routing outside of bike "want it". Waiting for Colnago V2-R reveal. Trek Emonda and Spel Tarmac look good but to generic for me to ride those brands everybody is on one of their bikes. Rode old BMC SLR01 before buying R5 bike lacked character to me anyway but new SLR01 disc looks awesome might even consider discs now but would have to sell everything I just got new wheels drive train, stem bars, whole bike. Bike industry reminding me of computer industry the minute you buy your obsolete.

The cable routing would be enough to put me off buying this.
