Does anyone know where to get a shallow conical spacer to slam the stem of a Giant Advanced Tcr 2?
Picture attached.

Thanks!Image

Have you looked under the conical spacer?

Possibly you have a setup like this? In which case just remove it.

There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

Yes I've checked under the spacer, there's nothing there.
Thanks for your comment.

I would get a -17 or -12 stem before trying to reduce the conical spacer size. Or do both while you're at it

Thanks. I've just bought a -17 stem, will give that a try.

Conical spacers are amongst the hardest part to buy in isolation in my experience. It must be made to fit the top race bearing. Your Giant, being 1 1/2" steerer, would pose an even harder challenge. I suggest getting a new headset might be easier. Take the conical spacer and the rest can serve as your spare parts. GL

It's a standard 1 1/8'' at the top on this model (hence the deda stem)

Recently slammed the stem on my defy advanced (guessing it's the same headset). Used a Ritchey comp dust cover with a 5mm (or 3mm, can't remember exactly..) spacer underneath. The Ritchey cover centres perfectly on top of a standard headset spacer, and the spacer aligns with the wedge to load the bearings. The setup leaves <1mm gap to the top of the head tube, resulting in a super low stack hight (around 4mm).
