I went to the start of the Amstel Gold Race this morning and took a lot of pictures. Van Avermaet was the only one BMC rider on a black bike, hidden between the red ones. Quite difficult to take detailed pics as his bike was in the middle of the bunch and it ws not allowed to get close. I looked into the detail and his bike had an integrated seatpost clamp which is new to BMC. His bike was also labelled as Impec Lab.
These 2 pics are shooted with telelens and cropped:

Cool, thanks for sharing.

Noticed the black frameset of GVA, but could see the differences with the current line of bikes.

Luckily there are some pictures from before the start. :-)

what's up with the stem to handlebar interface? it doesn't look like it's integrated and it doesn't seem to be a bolt on faceplate as well...

Same clamping system as the stem on the BMC Allroad.

Thanks Roel! Allways thought the road machine was a integrated system

Nice. Team machine is due for an update. Current iteration was introduced in 2013?

Seems like the truss in front of the seatpost has been gradually shrinking to now it's a gusset!

Looks like it has direct mount brakes.

Discontinued. No longer on their website.

I don't know the straight story, but I believe it had something to do with cost to manufacture and yields.
